Vichy Capital Soleil Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch 50+ Review

Summer is here already and the limelight is back on sunscreens. Though why we need sunscreens and its importance is a widely known fact, most of us prefer to skip it. Reason, the usual whitish cast, sticky feel, resultant sweaty skin and the list goes on. It is very hard to find one that perfectly matches our expectations!

How it fared:

Mattifying, easy absorption, non greasy are the keywords that drove me to test the product. I am really happy I did. The sunscreen is perfect for oily to combination skin types.  Though I have normal skin type, I normally lean towards oily-combi skin type products for summers as they tend to fare well in keeping the shine at bay. The sunscreen has a slightly thicker consistency than fluid ones but easily spreads and gets absorbed.  It goes on smooth and dries to a matte finish. There is no whitish cast and heavy greasy feeling usually associated with sunscreens and I adore it for the same reason.

The sunscreen is hypoallergic thereby making it suitable for sensitive skin types. This one does not clog my pores. It has not caused me any breakouts and is also alcohol free. The sunscreen carries a mild fragrance that is not overpowering. The fragrance though does not linger and fades off in quickly.

Capital Soleil sunscreen comes with a high sun protection of spf 50. I have not experienced much tanning or sunburn once I have started using this even though I am lazy in reapplying it frequently. It does not melt in the sun which I am thankful for. Please note that where I stay the climate is very hot, humid and sunny. I am someone who gets sunburned very easily even if it had only been 5 minutes of sun exposure maybe while waiting for a cab!

The sunscreen comes in a tube packaging with a flip open cap. It aids in squeezing out the required amount of product required for each use. I find it very convenient and travel friendly.

Yays:

  • High SPF protection
  • Matte finish
  • Does not leave any whitish cast
  • Gets absorbed quickly
  • Paraben free
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Convenient tube packaging
  • Does not clog pores
  • Contains Thermal Spa water
  • Little goes a long way
  • Suitable for oily and combination skin

Nays:

  • Expensive for 50ml of the product

Round Up: Vichy Capital Soleil Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch 50+ is a high SPF non-greasy sunscreen that does not melt in the sun nor leave a whitish case behind. And not to forget about the matte finish. This one is a winner for me.
