Today’s review is going to be on a very pretty blush from MAC, stubborn. Even though pro longwear blushes were launched as part of office hour’s collections, they are a part of the permanent range.
MAC description of the product:
“A lightweight blush with extreme colour perfection and non-fading, eight-hour wear. Ultra fine, silky powder glides on and blends easily to provide a moist, flawless, natural finish or with layering, a brighter, more dramatic look.”
Price: INR 1600 for 6g
How it fared:
Packaging is typical of all MAC blushes, a round black pot with a transparent flip top.
Stubborn is gorgeous deep plummy pink shade that is especially flattering on medium to darker skin tones. The pigmentation is awesome. A very light hand is all you need to get the required color on cheeks. Texture wise, these blushes are not at all powdery, are very smooth and soft but have a slightly dry texture. This I guess attributes to the long stay claim. The blush blends well but one has to be very quick in blending because of the slightly staining nature of the blush.
The finish is satin like and since there is no obvious shimmer or frost, it is very apt for day wear too. The blush stays on for nearly 6+ hours on me. This is only blush that actually stays that long and I am super impressed by the staying power.
- Sturdy packaging
- Gorgeous versatile shade
- Excellent staying power
- Superb pigmentation
- Soft smooth texture
- Expensive than normal MAC blushes
- Blending has to be quick else it might be staining
Round up: Though it looks very intense in the pan, MAC pro longwear blush stubborn is a very flattering shade for Indian skin tones, especially medium to darker skin tones and stays put for nearly 6 hours solid without much effort.
