Summers are here again and so are bright coral shades. MAC describes the shade as clean pinky orange. MAC Crosswires lipstick is a lovely coral pink shade that looks great on a range of skin tones. It is a Cremesheen finish lipstick and I find that it is both, creamy and glossy.

The crosswires is well pigmented and 1-2 swipes are all you need to get an opaque coverage. Cremesheens are one of the best finishes from MAC in terms of being hydrating and this one is no different. The lipstick goes o smoothly without any tugging or pulling. I find that on layering, the lipstick has a tendency to settle into fine lines and accentuate them. This is a big letdown for me because despite how much I love the shade and finish, I go for it only on my best lip days. One way to counter this is using a lip brush for allying the lipstick than dabbing it directly from the bullet. The shade though not insanely bright isn’t very muted too. Essentially it means if you have crosswires on, then without fight your lips will win all the attention.

Crosswires will look great on light to medium skin tones though I have seen duskier skin tones rocking the shade. It is more of a personal preference depending on how comfortable you are with the shade. It stays on me without fading for nearly 5 hours.
