Today’s review is on one of the Paint pots from MAC; Constructivist. Constructivist is part of MAC’s permanent range.

MAC Constructivist Paint Pot

How it fared:

The paint pot comes housed in a glass tub with a black screw cap. It is quite sturdy and slightly heavy. I have dropped it once or twice and thanks to my stars that it is still intact. But I do feel it might not stand any more of such tests well.

Constructivist is a frost finish paint pot .However it doesn’t appear all that frosty once on the lids. It just has a pretty sheen. MAC describes the shade as Metallic Brown with red pearl. To me it’s a warm deep brown shade with very very subtle sheen. I am a fan of browns and neutrals and very rarely ventures into colors. Constructivist is one of those subtle everyday shades that fit the bill.

MAC Constructivist Paint Pot

The paint pot works as a gorgeous overall lid color. This is my favorite way of wearing this particular paint pot. It fares well as deep crease color. Like most paint pots, constructivist is a good base for other eye shadows. I love especially how brilliant my brown eyeshadows look when paired with constructivist. It not only improves the wear of eyeshadows and prevents them from creasing but also intensifies the shade. The paint pot is also brilliant for a subtle brown smokey eye look.

The paint pot does not crease and stays all day in all its glory. The consistency of the paint pot is creamy and smooth. I find this one is creamier than the Groundwork paint pot. It is easy to blend but one needs to be quick with the job because it tends to set fast. The paint pot applies best with fingers or a stiff eyeshadow brush.

Round Up: Constructivist is a gorgeous everyday shade that needs very little effort. Paint pots as such are very versatile and moreover good makeup investment considering the multi-tasking ability and the quantity included.
