How it fared:
I have quite dry lips which tend to get even drier with lipsticks on. So whatever be the texture or finish of lipsticks, I always wear a layer of lip balm. I have already tried and tested a number of lip balms and creams. Some of them have worked well and some not so much. When I came across this lip cream from La Roche Posay, I couldn’t resist trying it out.
The Lip cream comes in a squeeze tube packaging with a slanted nozzle that lets you apply the cream directly from the tube. It is convenient and hygienic unlike the tub ones. The lip cream has a clear gel to cream like consistency. It is transparent and non waxy. The cream gets quickly absorbed leaving the lips moisturized and prepped. It does not tend to feather or slip thereby making it a good base for lipsticks.
I find that the lip cream hydrates the lips well and I don’t encounter much peeling once I have started using the same. Overall the lips behave better and feel smoother. In terms of lip pigmentation, the lip cream does not do much. Not that it claims to do but still.
- Convenient Packaging
- Non waxy/oily
- Quickly absorbed
- Hydrates the lips well
- Prevents chapping
- Fragrance free
- No effect on lip pigmentation
Round Up: La Roche Posay Ceralip Lip Repair Cream is a non greasy hydrating lip cream that works well on dry chapped lips. But I feel there are so many alternatives at par or even better at much lesser price.
