Rose Grenat (864) is a new and Limited Edition shade from Guerlain as part of the summer collection. In addition to 2 Limited edition shades, Guerlain has also added 5 more shades to the permanent Rouge G line; Gladys(78), Galiane(15), Gaetane(16), Geneva(48) and Geraldine(77).
Prolong this extraordinary experience with Guerlain Fall in Rose and two exceptional collector Rouge Gs. The ultimate in luxury, two pop gems create lips with a twist for a season. Guerlain delights in playing with colour, from the bullet to the case, with the creation of mass-lacquered sheaths. Real collector’s items…
How it fared:
Guerlain Rouge G’s have one of the most luxe packaging when it comes to lipsticks. Don’t get me wrong I love the luxe feel and look, but I also hate how bulky and difficult to store these are. Nevertheless it is one of the gorgeous looking lipsticks ever and the color coded packaging of the Rose Grenat is really alluring.
The shade Rose Grenat is a deep pink red shade with cool undertones. The lipstick applied smooth and creamy consistency. It did not tug or pull on the lips during application. The shade yielded opaque coverage in a single swipe. The formula is hydrating and long wearing at the same time, a rare occurrence at least as far as my dry lips are concerned. The lipstick had the delicate floral fragrance associated with Guerlain products.
While the Rouge G’s from the permanent line are priced at $51 each, the limited edition shades are retailed at $54 each.
Overall Verdict: Rouge G’s are one of the most comfortable lipsticks on me. They are long staying, hydrating lipsticks with excellent color payoff. Rose Grenat is no exception and delivers on all counts. As expensive as these are, the LE retails around 3 dollars higher than the permanent line. It is worth noting that Gladys and Gigi from the permanent line are worthy alternatives.
