To find an ideal moisturizer that works for you is no simple task. One reason, we keep switching until we find “the one”.
Imagine erasing past damage to create a more even skin tone while protecting skin from future darkening with high-level UVA/UVB defense. Delivers soothing hydration as specialized ingredients break apart surface darkening and exfoliate it away. Instantly brightens, clarifies.

How it fared:
Packaging: I wonder why brands continue to use the open tub packaging. There are squeeze tubes, pump dispensers and more hygienic ways of packaging the products. Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer SPF 20 comes in an open tub packaging with a twist open cap. It is sturdy and travel friendly though you need a Q tip or a spatula to take out the product each time.
Texture & Fragrance: The cream has a thick buttery consistency with no artificial fragrance. Though Clinique claims it to be 100% fragrance free, it means there is no added fragrance. The cream does smell chemically to me, the smell contributed by all the zillion ingredients mentioned! The cream spreads easily without leaving the skin greasy or shiny. But the trick is definitely using the right amount. A pea size is all you need for the entire face and neck. It is quickly absorbed.
The effect: The moisturizer instantly hydrates the skin leaving skin plumped and moisturized. It works as a good base for makeup. Over a period of time, I have noticed that the facial skin is more even toned and clarified. So it does deliver the claim. It also comes with SPF 20 which is decent enough. The sunscreen though does not weigh down the moisturizer.

Round Up: Along with Clarins Hydraquench, Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer SPF 20 is soon becoming my favorite moisturizer. While Hydraquench works well during the night since it is sans SPF, I prefer Clinique one for day use.
