There was time when BB creams itself were alien to Indian market. But now that is not the case. Almost all the leading brands have come up with a BB cream version of their own. Not that we are complaining. Now we do have plenty of choices.
Bourjois Claims:
Bourjois’ BB cream compact foundation is your make-up and skin care ‘dream cream’ – a compact foundation with eight actions in one. It perfects, smoothes and evens out the complexion, targets and corrects imperfections and smoothes away signs of fatigue. This compact foundation erases shine, is anti-aging, provides long-lasting hydration and has SPF 20 protection. The creamy texture gives you a perfectly smooth, even complexion for a velvety ‘second skin’ finish and a medium coverage.
Price: INR 870
How it fared:
The BB cream foundation claims to be a beauty hybrid hero (BB cream+foundation) that does eight jobs in one. The packaging is a sleek black one similar to the Bourjois Delice de Soliel Bronzer. It has a swivel lid with a full sized mirror on one side. It is perfect for on the go touchups. The compact itself is very sleek and travel friendly. The compact has 2 compartments, one housing the BB cream foundation itself and other a sponge for application.
The compact foundation comes in 4 different shades. All 4 shade options will work pretty well for Indian skin tones. The shade I have is Shade 22 (Golden Beige). The texture of the compact is very creamy and smooth. It blends quite easily and the sponge included works really well. It just blends in so well and in fact feels like second skin. It is completely light weight and non greasy.
The cream foundation is medium coverage and sets to a demi-matte finish. The compact evens out the skin tones as well as covers minor blemishes and acne scars. The pores appear minimized. Overall the skin looks polished and clear as an outcome.
The BB cream stays on fresh for nearly 6 hours. Post this a little bit of powdering will add few more hours to it. I am impressed by its wear even in the hot and humid climate here. The compact kept the face shine free for the entire 6 hours. It comes with SPF20 protection which is pretty decent. The other claims include perfecting, Smoothing, Targeted Correction, Ant-fatigue, anti-shine, anti ageing and long lasting hydration.
The cream does keep the skin hydrated well. I tried wearing it without a proper moisturizer underneath to test the claim and it did fare well.
Yays:
- Medium coverage
- Demi matte finish
- Covers minor acne marks and blemishes
- Comes with SPF20
- Keeps the shine at bay for about 6 hours
- It is hydrating
- Skin feels fresh and clear
- Little goes a long way
Nays:
- Expensive for 6g of amount
- Quantity included is less
Round up: The BB cream foundation is a really great product that has worked even in the hot and humid climate where I stay. I love the final result and the feel of the compact. This is one BB cream version that’s worth definitely checking out. Not to forget the “8 jobs in one” factor.

Great review. I’ve read quite a few BB Cream reviews, but have yet to find one for the Bourjois BB Cream. This sounds like a decent product, and the packaging reminds me of the Hourglass foundation.

Yes Angela, It is a pretty decent product.BB cream from Bourjois was new to me too.
Wow…it does look great..but too expensive..
Yeah Expensive is the only part I am not okay with
. But it feels super light and creamy !
Which one wud you suggest for me?
I am a little dusky..and not willing to pay a lot for my 1st BB cream..
What is your skin type shruthi?
Its sensitive:(..i have some pores near my nose too..
Oh okay, oily/combi or dry skin type Shruthi?
OIly/combination type skin..
Shruthi try the Garier BB cream for starters. The only prob is its available in only 1 shade though its sheer and might work out for you too. Or try the new BB stick from Maybelline (not the tube one), but again only 2 shades to choose from. Fawn should suit you.
Other than these Inglot, The body shop, Deborah Milano, Bourjois also have BB creams but tad expensive ones!
Thank you sooooo much:)
very nice review..m on a ban else i wud hv picked it up

Haha even I am pree. still I couldnt resist
Its a good BB cream for dry skin and gives dewy look. However for oily or combination skin people its would add extra shine.
It does not result in a dewy look Priya, infact it sets to matte finish on me. So it will work for oily/combi skin types too is what I think!
